About

Kirsten Price Trio

It was sheer luck while working together at the library, that Kirsten Price, who has spent her life singing, studying jazz and musical theatre abroad, and Keely Kidner, who studied piano at Humber College in Toronto, struck up a conversation about jazz. After bonding over their shared affection for Billy Strayhorn’s “Lush Life”, a duo was formed. Shortly thereafter, Keely, a sociolinguistics professor struck up another fate-filled conversation with Jeff Warren, professor of Music and Humanities at Quest, and learned that he was an incredible bass player, who’s written interesting things about the connection between mountain biking and music. Then, voila, the “Kirsten Price Trio” was formed. Never in a million years did they think that a trio with their chemistry and genuine passion for music could be formed on such a whim. The trio has performed at the Gondola on Valentine’s Day, their summer “Wine down”, as well as private functions.
